How to opt out
Reply STOP to any SMS message from The Lending Desk or Optimus Capital to opt out of the message's campaign. Reply STOPALL to opt out of every SMS program from us — marketing, notifications, and operational messages alike.
You may also opt out programmatically by POSTing to /api/sms/stopall with your phone number. Opt-out takes effect immediately and is logged for four years per Massachusetts Attorney General precedent (Mass AG v. Earnest, July 2025).
Two-tier opt-out per 10DLC
Per FCC and carrier guidance for 10-Digit Long Code (10DLC) brands, we support a two-tier opt-out model:
- Campaign-level opt-out. Stops a specific campaign (e.g., editorial alerts). Other campaigns may continue.
- Program-level opt-out (STOPALL). Stops every SMS from us — marketing, transactional, operational. This is the safe default.
Message frequency, rates
Message frequency varies by program. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We do not charge separately for SMS.
Records retention
Opt-out records are retained for four years from the date of last activity. We retain phone number, locale, the campaign opted out of (if level=campaign), opt-out source channel, and timestamp. We do not retain message content beyond what is required for opt-out confirmation.
Privacy + compliance
The Lending Desk is an editorial publication operated by an anonymous editorial team of loan officers, not a lender. SMS messages from us are educational or operational and do not constitute credit offers, decisions, or adverse actions under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA).
For broader compliance posture, see the footer of every page or read our Privacy notice.
This page is a stub. Full 10DLC brand registration details, carrier attestation language, and the consumer-facing opt-in flow document land alongside the GHL booking + SMS pipeline wiring (Microstep 18). Reply STOP or STOPALL to any message in the meantime — both routes already work end-to-end through the /api/sms/stopall endpoint.
